High Thermal Efficiency and Easy Maintenance in Aluminum Holding Furnace

1.Product Introduction

The pool type electric holding furnace is mainly suitable for the heat

preservation of non-ferrous metal solutions, and can be used for

centralized heat preservation of die casting machines, centrifugal casting,

gravity casting, precision casting and other processes.

2. Equipment composition

This product consists of three parts: furnace body, heating element and

electrical control box. The upper part of the electrical control box is the

control circuit, and the lower part is the power circuit; the furnace body

is mainly composed of the feeding chamber, the material taking chamber,

the heating and insulation chamber, etc. The furnace shell is welded by

steel and steel plate, and various lightweight refractory materials are

inside. The molten pool is cast as a whole with non-stick aluminum

casting material to ensure the alloy composition of the molten liquid.

Silicon carbon rod heating elements and insulation materials are

installed on the lightweight furnace top, which directly radiate the

aluminum alloy liquid surface in the molten pool, with high thermal

efficiency and convenient maintenance, cleaning and movement.

3. Advantages and characteristics of furnace type

The heating element uses multiple low-power silicon carbon rods or

resistance wires, which have a large heat radiation area, a fast heating

speed, and reduce the oxidation loss of aluminum liquid.

The control system has high control accuracy (within ±5°C) for the

aluminum liquid temperature, and has functions such as PID automatic

temperature control, temperature monitoring, and automatic proportional

adjustment of output power.

With unique heat-insulating structure, the furnace surface temperature rise

is less than 25°C, which can effectively reduce the impact on the surrounding

temperature and ensure the safety of operators.

The furnace lining adopts high temperature resistant, high strength and non-stick

aluminum refractory material from Allied Mineral Products (Tianjin) Co.,Ltd.,with

a service life of more than 5 years (three-year warranty).

5. Furnace structure

5.1 Introduction to furnace lining

The furnace is made of high-strength, high-temperature-resistant, non-stick aluminum

casting material made of corundum, which is cast in situ. There are no irregular large

cracks, which increases the service life; it is easy to repair and replace on site, reducing

maintenance time.

The furnace wall is made of high temperature resistant calcium silicate board and super

heat insulation ceramic fiber board, and adopts staggered inlay technology to ensure

excellent sealing and heat insulation performance. The furnace cover is made of

customized high temperature resistant flame retardant heat insulation fiber modules,

which are staggered and stacked for easy maintenance and replacement.

6.Electrical system

Main components

Heating element.

Control system-PLC, touch screen, power regulator, contactor, relay, etc.

Temperature detection element - thermocouple (each set contains two thermocouples,

measuring the furnace atmosphere temperature and aluminum liquid temperature respectively).

Introduction to Electronic Voltage Regulator (PID Control)

Thyristor is used as the main control element, and the change of thyristor conduction angle

is used to control the output current and voltage. Imported special thyristor phase-shift trigger

integrated circuit is selected to control the thyristor conduction angle. The controller has

multiple protection functions to ensure that the controller does not damage external devices

when a fault occurs. The functions are: soft start,over-current protection, over-temperature

protection. When the load fault current or temperature rises and exceeds the working range

of the controller, the controller can automatically shut down the pulse output and stop the load

power supply.Temperature control accuracy: ±5 ℃ (under standard working conditions).

Protection Mechanism

Aluminum liquid temperature high/low temperature alarm, atmosphere temperature absolute

value over-temperature alarm (custom key switch authority reset), three-phase current deviation alarm... etc.
